Market Preview - September 20 - Every Thursday ...

Second crop tomatoes are plentiful at market along with okra and the fall crops of muscadines and peppers. Spreading Oaks selection of vegetables ranges from watermelon radishes to yellow squash and field peas. Jason with Spreading Oaks also has eggs and the first of the sugar baby watermelons being harvested! Donald's tomatoes are growing strong and okra is in harvest with several farmers. Ms. Sue is planning to make market this week with all her canned goods, shelled peas, & honey. Robilland Farm will be to market with cow pet milk products and fresh ground wheat bread. Ms. Adrianna and her Timberland Farms grass-fed beef will be there. Morning Glory Farms has jams & jellies, fresh vegetables, eggs, pork, chicken, and baked goods along with boiled p-nuts.

Footehills Farmhouse has figs, peppers, chard, and squashes in harvest and be sure to check out her farm made soaps, balms, and oils along with spice blends, fresh herbs, and infused vinegars. It is time for Fitzgerald Fruit Farms to harvest apples in several varieties and Dewey with Roberts Sweets & Treats will be there with fried pies, jams & jellies, and pickles. Stop by That Foreign Chick's Bakery for Jana's breads, cookies, and cakes. Chef Suga will be bringing her pimento cheese varieties and Bella Vita Mushrooms is planning to make market this week. Five Cedars Farm tomato's and muscadines are in harvest and look for their fall green tomatoes.

Rockmart Farmers Market Preview June 15th, 2017. Every Thursday 2-6 pm! Downtown Rockmart.

Summer is certainly in the air at market this week!

We will have delicious green tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, green onions, radishes, cauliflower, broccoli, garlic, sugar snap peas, green beans, red and white potatoes, yellow squash, zucchini, cucumbers and fennel and several varieties of peppers. Our farmers will still have several varieties of green leafy vegetables including chard, kale, lettuce and collard greens. As always, our vendors provide locally produced honey, cheese, jams, jellies, eggs, canned vegetables, pickles, dried fruit, vegetable plants, delicious baked goods, peaches, blackberries, blueberries and strawberries! 

Remember to stop by at one of our meat vendors to purchase some local, responsibly raised pork, chicken and beef!

Please "Lettuce cook for you" this Thursday! Come by our tent to purchase minestrone soup for your dinner! We can feed a family of four for $22 or a family of 2 for $12. Meal comes with bread. Dessert available for purchase.
