Market Preview May 10, 2018 - Every Thursday 2-6pm - Downtown Rockmart
Lots of things are growing at the Rockmart Farmers Market this time of year. Footehills Farmhouse and Spreading Oaks are harvesting lettuces. Louanna with Footehills has fresh herbs, pet goat milk products, along with farmhouse bath and beauty products. Jason with Spreading Oaks will have all the greens from kale, to dandelion greens, to chard. His spring onions are a little bigger and look for radishes, beets, and broccoli as well. Rachel with Bella Vita Mushrooms will be at market with different varieties of mushrooms and her mushroom teas and tinctures. Alex with Fitzgerald Fruit Farm will be there as well with strawberries.
Morning Glory Farm is harvesting baby chard and will have pork, chicken, and lamb along with jams, jellies, syrups, and baked goods. Ms. Adriana with Timberland farm can take care of your grass-fed beef needs and Suga's Enterprise will be at market with Chef Suga's pimento cheese varieties. Velmon Hayley will be at market with his spring plants both flowering and vegetable. Several farmers have fresh eggs and look for Ms. Sue with her spring vegetables, canned goods, and pet goat milk products.
Jana with that Foreign Chick's Bakery has a great lineup of breads and other baked goods and Robilland Farm will have fresh ground wheat bread along with pet cow milk products. Radical Root will return with Courtney's teas, and tinctures. Stop by the green market booths for recipes, market information, and to check out the seasonal weekly cooking demo.
